Cumberland Industries is a social enterprise that provides emplyment, training and vocational support opportunities for people with disabilities. The company is headquartered at Auburn NSW and we have seven branch locations throughout western and north western Sydney. The company has been operating for nearly 50 years and has a support staff of over 150 people.
 
We employ over 500 people with a mild disability who are trained across a range of different manufacturing and packaging operations.  Our people are accurate, hard working and dedicated.  The company is a registered charity and receives funding from the Department of Families, Housing,  Community Services & Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).

To conduct a network of commercially successful business operations, for the purposes of advancing the interests and employment opportunities of people with a disability and other disadvantaged groups.
To set and maintain world class standards in the quality of life of people with a disability and other disadvantaged groups, with support in vocational education and training, and employment.

  • To achieve profitable financial outcomes for each commercial Division of the organisation to sustain future growth, and to assist with financing accommodation services.
  • To provide and develop well trained, qualified and caring staff to facilitate outcomes.
  • To engender a close working relationship with all levels of government to promote understanding and gain financial assistance.
  • To provide care and assistance with appropriate forms of accommodation support, including respite-care, group homes and assisted living.
